Mixing & Storage

Quick Feeding Guide

  • To make 30 mL of formula: Mix 1 level scoop (7.5 g) of powder with 25 mL warm water
  • To prepare the entire package: Mix 240 g powder with 800 mL warm water
  • Feeding Schedule
  • Feed every 2 hours during the first week of age
  • Feed every 3 hours by two weeks of age
  • Feed every 4 hours by four weeks of age
  • 5–7% Feeding Rule
  • Weigh the baby in grams
  • Multiply the weight by 5% (0.05) to determine the number of milliliters to feed per feeding
  • Start with smaller feedings if necessary and gradually work up to 5%
  • Once the baby is eating well and digesting efficiently, feeding amounts may be gradually increased to 7% of body weight per feeding

Mixing

  • Pre-boil water and allow it to cool before mixing
  • Add half the water to the powder and mix into a smooth paste
  • Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly
  • Avoid using water that is too hot, as it may cause curdling
  • Water that is too cold may make the powder difficult to disperse
  • An electric whisk may be used when preparing larger quantities

Storage

  • Refrigerate prepared formula for up to 24 hours
  • Freeze for up to 2 weeks
  • Freeze in small portions, such as ice cube trays, for convenient daily use
  • Once thawed, discard any unused formula
  • Wash all feeding utensils thoroughly after use
