Mixing & Storage

Species Specific Feeding Guidelines:

  • Eastern Cottontails
Feed approximately 1–1½ teaspoons per 1 oz of body weight per day, divided into 2–4 feedings.
  • Opossums
Feed approximately 1½–2 teaspoons per 1 oz of body weight per day, divided into 6–8 feedings.
At around 45 grams body weight, gradually transition to Fox Valley Formula 25/30.

Squirrels
Not recommended for squirrels younger than 2 weeks. Use an appropriate milk replacer designed for neonates. For squirrels older than 2 weeks, weigh the baby in grams and feed 5% of body weight per feeding (in mL). Start smaller if needed, then increase to 5%, and up to 7% as digestion allows.
